Organic fertilizers

Organic fertilizers come from plants and animals. These includes animal manure, tankage, blood meal, fish meal, litter, slaughterhouses wastes, compost, green manures, farm residues and sludge.

Organic fertilizers should contain sufficient amount of essential nutrients to be valued as fertilizers.

*Organic fertilizers supports and enhances the growth of beneficial bacteria and other microorganism on the soil which provides the plants with nutrients they need for a healthy and productive growth.

water insoluble nitrogen and phosphate. The slow release minimizes the leaching of nutrients.

 *Organic fertilizers are a source do additional carbon dioxide, which is very important for the efficient utilization of the nutrients present in the water. This is especially so when used together with inorganic fertilizers.

*The used of organic fertilizers implies recycling of a waste product. However, the use of organic fertilizers is difficult to standardized in view of their variable composition.

*They protect the environment and ecosystem from toxicity, contamination or pollution.
